What is processed
Images and job information
When you use the converter, Nimslo.app receives the image files you select. It also creates temporary job information such as processing status, warnings, your selected focus point, and the generated GIF.
Technical information
Nimslo.app and its infrastructure providers may process ordinary connection and security information, including an IP address, browser and device details, requested URLs, timestamps, and error or abuse signals. This information is needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
Information Nimslo.app does not ask for
V1 has no user accounts, paid checkout, mailing list, or profile system. Please do not upload files you are not entitled to use, or images containing sensitive information that is not necessary for making your GIF.
Your sticker collection
Spinning the homepage camera adds decorative stickers. Their arrangement is saved in this browser so it returns on your next visit. Clearing this site’s cookies or site data resets the collection. Browsers may also clear saved data under their own storage policies.
Why it is processed
Nimslo.app processes this information to:
- receive your selected frames and create the requested GIF;
- show progress, warnings, previews, and download links;
- apply a refocus point when you request an adjusted result;
- keep the website and processor reliable and secure; and
- diagnose errors and prevent misuse.
Image and job processing is necessary to provide the service you request. Limited technical and security processing is based on the legitimate interest in running a safe, reliable service. Nimslo.app does not make decisions about you that have legal or similarly significant effects.
How long it is kept
Uploaded images, retained job inputs, and generated files are temporary. Under the current V1 configuration they are normally available for up to about one hour, after which they are scheduled for deletion. They can disappear earlier after maintenance, a restart, or an operational failure.
Infrastructure and security logs may be kept separately for a limited operational period under the relevant provider’s retention settings. Nimslo.app does not intentionally place uploaded image contents into those logs.
Service providers and locations
Nimslo.app currently relies on:
- Cloudflare for website delivery, DNS, security, aggregate traffic analytics, and the private connection to the processor;
- Oracle Cloud for the image-processing server in its Amsterdam region;
- Google Fonts for the Roboto Condensed webfont; and
- Unicorn Studio for the optional animated homepage background.
These providers may process technical information in more than one country and under their own privacy terms and legal safeguards. If optional third-party visual effects fail or are unavailable, the core upload service and a static visual fallback remain available.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection. Because V1 is anonymous and files expire quickly, Nimslo.app may be unable to identify or retrieve a specific job after it expires. A job identifier or exact time of use may be needed to investigate a request while the job still exists.
You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. In the Netherlands, that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
