The upload is rejected
Check the number of files
Upload one complete strip scan or exactly four separate frame images. Two, three, or more than four separate files do not describe a complete Nimslo view set and will be rejected.
Check format and size
Use JPG, PNG, or TIFF and stay within the per-file limit shown beneath the upload area. If a scanner produced another format, export a copy in one of the supported formats rather than renaming the extension.
Processing starts, then fails
Confirm that the source image opens correctly and that a strip scan contains four visible views. For separate files, confirm that every file belongs to the same exposure. A blank, corrupted, unrelated, or duplicate image can stop useful alignment.
Temporary server or network interruptions can also end a job. Keep the original files and retry once. If the same set fails repeatedly, prepare a cleaner scan or four individual exports using the scanning guide.
The frames jump, reverse, or feel scrambled
Check frame order first. The images should follow the camera views from left to right. A sequence such as 1, 3, 2, 4 can create an abrupt jump even when every pair aligns well on its own. Rename the files with a numeric prefix and select them again in that order.
Some movement is intentional: objects in front of and behind the chosen anchor should shift as perspective changes. A problem looks more like a sudden direction change, a duplicated view, or the whole scene snapping between frames.
The wrong subject stays still
Automatic focus chooses an initial anchor, but a scene can contain several plausible ones. On the finished preview, choose Refocus, select a clear point on the subject that should remain stable, and confirm. Faces, text, edges, and other detailed points usually provide a more useful target than a flat area with little texture.
Refocusing will not make every depth plane stationary. The relative movement between the foreground and background is what creates the 3D effect.
The edges or final crop look wrong
Alignment shifts each view, so the usable result is the area shared by all four frames. If the originals are cropped tightly or differently, that common area becomes smaller. Return to the scan and preserve more border or export each view with a more consistent crop.
A tilted strip, heavy dust at a frame boundary, or different automatic scanner corrections can also confuse extraction and edge cleanup. Straighten the complete strip as a single image and apply corrections consistently rather than repairing every frame independently.
The preview or download has disappeared
Uploads, job state, and generated results are temporary. They are normally available for up to about one hour and can disappear sooner after maintenance or a restart. Download a result you want to keep as soon as it is ready. An expired job cannot be recovered; upload the original files again to make a new one.
